CALENDAR Winter Schedule 2012 (Selected dates) • Sundays on a continuing basis - Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church Jazz Vespers @ 5:00pm with The Tommy Witten Trio and various other musicians www.thegaytonkirk.org This is an excellent environment to hear music (and The Word)!!!! • Thursday January 26, 2012 from 8-10:30pm @ Crossroads Coffee and Ice Cream with the Bossa Brasil Trio including Russ Hanchin on guitar. www.crossroadsrva.com • Thursdays February 9 & March 22, 2012 from 7-9pm @ La Parisienne French Bistro with the Bossa Brasil Trio. Joining me will be Kelli Strawbridge on drums and Russ Hanchin on guitar. www.laparisiennebistro.com • Saturdays, February 11, 25, March 10 & 25 appearing with Joe Sarver-Russ Hanchin Duo @ Ginger Red Asian Bistro www.gingerred.com from 7:15 to 9:15pm • St Michael's Catholic Church - schedule permitting, I play most Sundays at either 9:15 am or 11:15am Mass accompanying the wonderful music ministry led by Tom Kaczmarek as we lift the Lord's name in song! Some of these performances are with "The Eighth Day" contemporary Christian ensemble Additionally, I will be in the recording studio periodically working on a recording project as well as working various private gigs. Currently, I am performing regularly with my long time friend and band mate, jazz guitarist, Russ Hanchin. My collaboration and friendship with Russ dates back to the mid 70's when we were the house jazz quartet at Sam Miller's Restaurant, which was the only restaurant in the Shockoe Slip! After going in different directions for a number of years, we reconnected in 2002 and we have been working steadily ever since. Additionally, I also perform with a variety of terrific musicians in various ensemble configurations in and around the Richmond area. |
